Our Founder’s Story & Mission Statement
Our founder, Michelle, aka “Teacher Shell” began Wund3rSCHOOL Preschool in 2018. As a Bay Area native, she grew up in a home with her parents, sister, grandmother and aunt. The bonds that were created in this family sparked her drive to make a difference and encouraged her to create a close bond with others, especially children. She worked as a nanny in the South Bay and Peninsula for 10 years. During this time, she also achieved her B.A. in Child Development at SJSU. Her direct experience and knowledge about children has aided her towards achieving her goal to open Wund3rSCHOOL, a preschool program for young students 18 months-Pre.K.
Wund3rSCHOOL understands that each child develops at their own unique pace. Our team of qualified teachers strive daily to provide each child with developmentally appropriate activities. We work to create a strong bond with each of our students to ensure they feel supported, respected and acknowledged. We also form partnerships with our student’s families to ensure they have the tools necessary for their child to thrive at home also. Lastly, each of our Wund3rSCHOOL students are taught to have a strong sense of self, empathy and awareness through a loving kindness practice.
